Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Her mother is English and her father is Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She graduated with a BA in acting from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At school, she was a part-time actor in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), alongside Colin Farrell. Following this acclaim, she played Elisha on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. She also landed the role of Bambi in The ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, appearing in series two and three. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & make people feel alienated, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment back in 2008. Some of her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with the thriller The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before it was ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. Madekwe was in the episodes in the series' first two seasons as an regular. But in May of 2013, word broke that the actress would be departing the show following her guest appearance in the opening episode for its third season. The actress portrayed Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by a big family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty and her other siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey during the winter and summer months. Her childhood was spent in the arenas and baseball. Ashley couldn't walk, however she danced. As a result, as she grew older, she discovered Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley continued to dance competitively through high school graduation, in top divisions such as tap, Jazz, Ballet Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and much more. The big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the distinction of "top soloist".
